SHADES OF BLUE

Shades Of Blue

A river runs
Almost an ocean,
In shades of dusty blue,
Outside a cabin near the woods.
Its billowy waves
Shades of aqua blue, my tears cascading
Down my cheeks.
Yesterday eve-
Another shde of blue.

My entire life
My heart close to expressionless,
Though a little downtrodden,
A different shade of blue,
Who would have rained
Tears of topaz blue.

If only it were a cloud within the sky,
So blue, so blue...

Last evening
The sky was lead hued.
As many a winter night would have been.
An now I recall winter days and nights,
Dreaming of California- eternally blue skies,
Those aesthetically pleasing shades of blue,
As blue as forget-me-nots,
Growing within the grass.

"Forget-me-not"
The blue flower is called,
Reminding me of all I have forgotten,
After they induced shock to my brain,
There is so much I do not remember.

I suppose I could say
I feel right now, just another shade of blue.

Rolling hill after hill of bluegrass,
Clouds of blue,
and skies of blue,
Perhaps the moon will be full tonight,
And together we will chant the blues.
